Guest posting according to me is like you’re a newbie and you get to act with a superstar. If you’re good, you get fame, money and respect, if not, things don’t really change. LOL, that’s what guest posting is. You simply think of a good post idea, draft a post which is good, informative, SEO optimized and share it on the guest blogging website. If the website admin likes your post, he/she would share it and in return you would get more fame, traffic and popularity. The benefits of guest posting involve:

  • Quality Traffic:

You if succeed in guest posting on a high quality blog, then you ensure yourself a good amount of traffic. On every blog that allows guest posting, the user is required to enter his/her website details, Name and description. The readers of already successful blogs read your guest post and if they like it, they surely give your website a look. The best part of guest posting is targeted traffic. If I’m looking for people who might me interested in doing a course on SEO from my company, then I would find a platform where the user base would consist of online marketers. One of the best blogs of my niche includes ShoutMeLoud.Com and it does offer guest posting, then I would definitely try to draft a guest post on a similar platform so that I get noticed by a user base which follows online marketing, SEO and other related products.

  • Back Linking: Benefits of Guest posting that are worth the efforts

If you guest post on a credible blog with a high PR and user base, then you would earn yourself a High Quality back link which you help you a lot in SEO.Link building is nothing but creating back links to your website. Back links refer to the links that you get from other websites. If I include a website link to some other website, then I’m providing a new back link to them, which plays a pivotal role in SEO. Website like Google and Facebook have millions of back links. In fact, all the top websites that you’d find will have an exorbitant number of back links. Off-page optimization is done to create back links. By doing everything mentioned in this post, you’re actually creating back links. Back link creation is a time consuming process. By posting comments you don’t really get organic back links. The links you mention on these get a no-follow tag added to them. Submitting your website to Search Engines, directory submissions, article/PR submissions help in creating good back links. Back links can be of the following types:

    • One-Way back links: When some other website links to your site.
    • Two-way back links: When two websites exchange back links.
    • Three-way back links: When 2 other websites link to your site.

Out of these 3 types, the third one is highly recommended. Two-way back links are of no use.
From what kind of websites should you try getting back links?

    • Websites with high page ranks or PR’s.
    • Older Websites.
    • Websites of your niche.
    • Credible and trusted websites.

Thus, off page optimization is actually link building. By doing all these things, we’re actually creating back links to our website.

    • Blogosphere, I learned a new word today. I second you, Erik. It is certainly one of the best methods to gain quality back links, traffic and make your presence felt. :)

  2. Hey Nishkarsh,

First time I’ve visited your blog, someone mentioned it on the Warrior Forum as a blog worth checking out and I agree with them it is.

Good post. The thing I love about guest blogging aside from the traffic is the authority boost that it gives. Being featured on a big name blog makes people think you are a big name too and that can only help.

Oh the traffic can be incredible too. Thousands of super targeted visitors hitting your site almost instantly and joining your list, sharing you on social media and clicking on your links. Perfect!
